A field of poppies in Hertfordshire as the sun goes down over the horizon of trees

Pitstone Mill at sunset. A 2 minute exposure was used to accentuate the movement in the clouds.  Fortunately, towards the end of the exposure, the sun appeared from behind the cloud to illuminate the scene with a golden glow.

Hitchin Lavender, Cadwell Farm, Hertfordshire at sunrise. This was taken about 20 minutes before sunrise one summer morning.  The sky erupted with bright yellow, orange and pink hues as the sun, still below the horizon, illuminated the clouds above.

The rolling farmland of the chalk escarpment near Therfield, Hertfordshire, though this time in flatter light, out of season, resulting in a sea of browns.
